Abstrak : This study reviewed removal efficiency of color and COD in textile wastewater using Fenton method. The biodegradability (BOD/COD ratio) of the effluent after Fenton treatment was also analyzed in this study. The main parameter process, pH and molar ratio [Fe2+]:[H2O2] were optimized. The effluent of Fenton process was neutralized at varied pH to reduce iron and hydrogen peroxide residues. The results show that the optimum conditions of Fenton process to reduce COD and color occurs at the molar ratio of [Fe2+]:[H2O2] = 1:5 and at pH 4 after 90 minutes of reaction time. This optimum condition resulted in color and COD removal of 96.6% and 85.4%, respectively. While the optimum reduction of residual iron and hydrogen peroxide during neutralization was achieved at pH 9, i.e., 83.6% H2O2 removal and 99.8% iron removal.
