Abstrak : Fluid flow characteristics through a diffuser are always interesting to be studied. Studies on the flows in the diffuser have been studied by many researchers but are still continued up to now. The present study is intended to investigate boundary layer characteristics developing on the diffuser wall including mean velocities, skin friction coefficient (Cf), and pressure coefficient (Cp). The experiments were performed at two Reynolds numbers, based on the inlet freestream velocity and the height of the diffuser inlet (w1), Rew1 = 8,75. 104 dan 5,75. 104. The diffuser area ratio is 2,74 and opening angle (2 . The wall normal measurements were performed from the bottom diffuser wall up to the diffuser centerline, while the streamwise measurements were performed from the diffuser inlet, x/L = 0, up to x/L = 1,4. Static pressure measurements were performed on the bottom diffuser wall as well as at the diffuser inlet using an inclined manometer. At the higher Rew1, skin friction coefficient is lower than that at the lower Rew1. Next, the effect of Rew1 on the pressure coefficient (Cp) is less significant, although at the diffuser outlet (x/L = 1,0) there is a small increase in Cp of approximately 1,8 %.
